I'm a Bookstagrammer, painter, and mental health nurse — an Aussie living in Wales, documenting books and art in one place as @sashabookandbrush. This site is the quieter home for recommendations that don't have to fight the algorithm.

My shelves lean romantasy: Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yarros, Rebecca Ross, dragons, fae, and morally complicated people I would not survive standing next to. I also wander into contemporary and the odd literary title when I need air — Evelyn Hugo on a garden bench, DeLillo on the art desk between brushes.

When I'm not reading, I'm usually painting, rearranging the nook, or being supervised by Dobby, who has opinions about which blanket is his. The checkered Kindle case covered in stickers is a personality trait at this point.

I'm an ARC reader and a Rattle the Stars PR influencer, which means you'll see early copies and gifted titles flagged honestly. If I post it here, it's because I actually liked it — not because someone asked me to.
